LONGSAL LING
In the Buddhist tradition, study and practice are indispensable to the path of an individual’s inner awakening. A place where those two approaches are observed is also needed. From ancient times to the present, Dharma Rajas and spritual masters have built many monasteries and temple in Tibet. For this very reason, Chakung Jigme Wangdrak has created a Dharma center in the Berkeley Hills of the San Francisco Bay Area named Longsal Ling. It has been consecrated as a place for practicing the Dharma, the path of the Buddhist, and especially Dudjom Lingpa’s tradition.
The word Long in Tibetan means vast. It conveys the supreme source, unborn truth free from all limitations; the Buddha mind which is the ocean of love and wisdom. Sal refers the illumination of Dharma dispelling inner darkness and the clear light mentioned in the Sutras and Tantras. Longsal is a part of the great master, Terton Longsal Nyingpo’s name, who is one of Rinpoche’s predecessors.

སྤྱིར་རྒྱལ་བ་བཅོམ་ལྡན་གྱི་བསྟན་པ་ལྟར་ན། གང་ཟག་གཅིག་འཚང་རྒྱ་བའི་ལམ་གྱི་ཆ་ལག་ཏུ་བཤད་སྒྲུབ་ཟུང་ནི་མེད་དུ་མི་རུང་བར་བཞེད་པ་དང་། དེ་གཉིས་ལ་གཞོལ་བའི་གནས་དང་འདུས་སྡེ་དག་གལ་ཤིན་ཏུ་ཆེ་བས། གངས་ཅན་བོད་ཡུལ་ལ་མཚོན་ན། སྔོན་ནས་ད་ལྟའི་བར་དུ་ཆོས་རྒྱལ་དང་སྐྱེས་བུ་དམ་པ་རིམ་བྱོན་ཚོགས་ཀྱིས་དགོན་པ་དང་ལྷ་ཁང་མང་བོ་ཕྱག་བཏབས་མཛད་པའི་སྲོལ་རྒྱུན་རིང་བོ་བཞུགས་པ་བཞིན་དུ། སྤྲུལ་པའི་སྐུ་མཆོག་འཇིགས་མེད་དབང་དྲག་རིན་པོ་ཆེ་ཉིད་ཀྱིས་ཨ་རིའི་ནུབ་ཕྱོགས་མཚོ་འགྲམ་སན་ཧྥི་རན་སི་སི་ཀོའི་ཉེ་འདབས་ཀྱི་གྲོང་ཁྱེར་བྷིར་ཁི་ལིའི་རི་སུལ་དུ། འདུས་སྡེའི་ལྟེ་གནས་ཀློང་གསལ་གླིང་གསར་བཏབས་གནང་ཞིང་། སངས་རྒྱས་ཀྱི་བསྟན་པ་སྤྱི་དང་། སྒོས་སུ་ཁྲག་འཐུང་བདུད་འཇོམ་གླིང་པའི་ཟབ་ཆོས་ཉམས་ལེན་བྱེད་ཡུལ་གྱི་གླིང་དུ་རབ་གནས་མཛད།
དེའི་མཚན་དོན་ནི། ཀློང་ནི་སྤྲོས་པ་ཀུན་བྲལ་ཆོས་དབྱིངས་སྐྱེ་བ་མེད་པའི་གནས་ལུགས་འབྱམས་ཀླས་པ་དང་། སངས་རྒྱས་ཀྱིས་ཡེ་ཤེས་མཁྱེན་དང་བརྩེ་བའི་རྒྱ་མཚོའི་རང་བཞིན་ཅན་ལ་འཇུག །གསལ་གྱི་སྒྲས་དམ་ཆོས་ཀྱི་སྣང་བས་ཡིད་ཀྱི་མུན་པ་བཅོམ་པ་དང་། མདོ་རྒྱུད་ཀུན་ལས་གསུངས་པའི་འོད་གསལ་སོགས་ལ་གོ །གཞན་ཡང་ཀློང་གསལ་ནི་སྤྲུལ་པའི་གཏེར་ཆེན་རིག་འཛིན་ཀློང་གསལ་སྙིང་པོའི་མཚན་གྱི་ཆ་ཤས་དང་། རིན་པོ་ཆེ་ཉིད་གང་གི་རྣམ་སྤྲུལ་དུ་སོང་བས་དགེ་མཚན་དང་རྟེན་འབྲེལ་ཕུན་སུམ་ཚོགས་པ་ལྡན་ནོ།།
