Annual Tashi Choling Vajrakilaya Retreat
November 5th thru 15th, 2024
9:00am-6:30pm Daily

To cut through negative emotions and mindsets, to remove outer and inner obstacles and hindrances, and to clear the way for happiness, well being, harmony, balance, and spiritual progress in ourselves, our dharma centers, our countries, and all beings, as we gather once again to practice Vajrakilaya, the Buddha of Enlightened Activity and the wrathful emanation of Vajrasattva.

This year, Tashi Choling is very happy to announce that Chakung Jigme Wangdrak Rinpoche will be joining us as Vajra Master.

A qualified Dudjom lineage holder, Rinpoche is also a fourth generation descendant of Dudjom Lingpa himself. It will be a great blessing to have Rinpoche, with his powerful, compassionate presence, guiding us in this important retreat!

Resident teachers Lama Chonam and Sangye Khandro will also kindly join us!

Attend in-person or on Zoom.

Attendance Requirements:
Vajrakilaya or other Vajrayana empowerment, AND daily practice under the guidance of a qualified lama.

Book Club: Loving Life as It Is

Dear Sangha,

With the blessings and encouragement of Rinpoche, we are delighted to announce a drop-in book club to study his newly released book, Loving Life as It Is: A Buddhist Guide to Ultimate Happiness (2024). You can purchase the book here. This is a wonderful opportunity to take a deep dive into Rinpoche’s precious teachings together.

We will read the book together in small chunks (no homework!) and then discuss together what we’ve read. Everyone is invited to bring a few study questions to mull over too. If we feel moved, we might also try out some of the practices that are included in the book, as we go along.

To accommodate various schedules and time zones, and to allow the most number of people to participate, we will hold two sessions each week on Thursdays 7 to 8:30 pm US Pacific Time (PDT), and Fridays 11am - 12:30pm (PDT).  You may join for either session and even join for different ones each week depending on your schedule.

If you would like to participate, please email Yeshe (do not reply to this email) at yeshe.dronmar@protonmail.com with the subject heading “book club.”  You will be added to the email list to receive reminders and zoom links.

Sending you all warm good wishes,

Dudjom Ngondro Retreat with Lama Lakshey Zangpo, June 8 & 9, 2024

Dudjom Ngondro Retreat
with Lama Lakshey Zangpo

Saturday and Sunday, June 8 and 9, 2024
10 am to 4:30 pm PDT each day

You are warmly invited to attend in person (non-residential) or online.

Ngondro is an indispensable and necessary practice for anyone who truly wishes to become a pure Dharma practitioner. There are many different ngondro practice texts of varying lengths. This Ngondro text put together by His Holiness Dudjom Rinpoche Jigdral Yeshe Dorje is very special because it carries the profound power and blessings of the lineage. It is a perfect length--not too long and not too short, and especially fitting for the present day. And it contains the blessing-filled words of the former and later Dudjom.

To become a good Dharma practitioner, tame your mind, make this life meaningful, and follow the Lama, then you must have ngondro practice.
